Who We Are
The Rock Cycle
This week we learned about the rock cycle in science class. There are 3 types of rocks, they are sedimentary, metamorphic, and igneous rock. We learned that all of the rocks can be changed into each other. Igneous rocks are usually found in volcanoes. Igneous rocks are formed by the cooling molten magma on the earth's surface. We also learned that Sedimentary rock is made by layers of sand pushed down which cements the bottom layers together. Sometimes fossils can be found in Sedimentary rocks. Fossils are remains of an animal. |
